Where to get a student loan?

I am a 23 year old having a diploma in pharmacy.

I would like to attend another course at KIM for human resourse management but I don't have enough funds.

How could I get a student loan or other assistance?

It is a very sorry state in that it has somehow been instilled in any Kenyan Student and their parents that help with school fees is just a handout that should not be repaid. Unless this trend is revised, Student Loan schemes will never work in Kenya unless in from offset and in the minds of the recipients is very clear that repayments must go hand in hand and are done immediate during study and not repayment being done when they think they have the money to refund

The first place to look would be the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) in Kenya...

I also read about the Commercial Bank of Africa starting to give out student loans (as the first private sector organisation in Kenya to do so). This is in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation.

In many European countries, the majority students have side jobs to support themselves through school, next to some limited government assistant (either grants or cheap loans), and help from their parents.
