Our nephew, who's father is Maasai, calls his grandmother Koko, so I think the first answer is right.

by: Arjen (webmaster)

There's an online dictionary English - Maa (the Maasai language) here:

http://www.uoregon.edu/~maasai/Maa%20Lexicon/index-english/main.htm

This gives as translation for grandmother:

kokoô

Type in your search box Google Books The Masai - Their Language and Folklore. This will give you everything you need to know.

Regards

Archie

PS - I think the word you need is Ogho but I am not sure how that sounds.
