Want to marry in Nairobi--Help

Hello, we are both US citizens and want to marry in Nairobi or elsewhere in Kenya... We are there from Feb 24 to March 6. It is just the two of us so simple yet special is what we are looking for... Need help with legal papers, wedding itself, dress, flowers... We love the outdoors but something inside is fine... We just want something special to remember but simple... Thanks.

Don't forget your individual certifications from the USA goverment ( and other countries you may have stayed in long duration ) that certifies you're both single. Just because there is some polygamy in Kenya the certificates are still required. Check all the regulations on the Kenyan government website for the requirements on getting married in Kenya...do it ahead of time !

Check the rates on the site ( print them up as proof )for different types of marriage licenses...you can easily get bribed if you're in a hurry and you don't have the official information.

For us every wedding is special if it just the two of you or if we have a big group to attend. Just sent me an email through the website www.ivoryandpearls.com and I will be happy to assist you with your documents regarding the special lisence you need, the registrar or pastor and to legalise your certificate after the wedding.

Dont do a wedding in the registrar's office it is very unpersonal and you are just a number in the queue!

Just get a romantic location and the registrar can come to your venue to do the ceremony.

First and foremost you must get a loving wife who qualifies to be married. Be ready to pay dowry depending which tribe. Some are twenty cows while with others you must include donkey and choose how to marry, Christian or traditional wedding.
