The Amazing (pseudo) Siamese Twin Giraffes

by Judy Lester
(Dayville, CT)

I got this photo when heading back to camp in the Masai Mara this past June. These male and female giraffes appear to be joined at the hip!

It IS real

As you can see they are not really conjoined but rather a female standing close to her mate (she's very old fashioned too; you can see she's standing behind him!)

Hee Hee,

What a great photo and hope you had a great time. Its great that you shared it with the website and I am replying because the WEBMASTER is off on his vacation. He did say he would log in from time to time but I think he is joking.

Anyhow Judy a wonderful picture and one to treasure. Conjoined giraffes and lets hope the park authorities are aware. I do hope you had a wonderful vacation and if you feel a bit literate then feel free to share with the world your experiences in Kenya. If you want a tip then have a look at my stories and then you will get the general idea - short, punchy and sweet

Best wishes

Archie
