Ready to book a ticket to Kenya

by Visitor

Anytime I read a travel piece I am ready to book a ticket. I'm such a sucker for any cultural experience. Kenya sounds amazing! I've done Europe, much of Asia, and North Africa. But reading this site about Kenya, it starts to itch again...

Go ahead and make a plan, set some goals
for your travel.

Since you've been several places,
you have some advantages what kind of
experiences you've liked in your travels
and what you didn't like.

I would think a safari and some cultural excursions
would be experiences you'd like so you could visit a massai village or visit an orphanage

If you like history the coastal area is rich in history and there are the beaches where you can swim.

Make some lists of specific places you want to go
and then look for tour companies or guides that can
have similar planned itineraries.

You can avoid feeling 'suckered in' by setting some clear expectations of what you want to experience and if you use a tour company or guide
communicate those expectations to them.

Go for it

The biggest challenge is deciding where you
want to go and what you want to experience
while you are there.

You can take a look at what you enjoyed Most
on your other trips and set some goals
(specific activities and destinations based
on what you enjoyed on other trips and what
you didn't enjoy.

I think you'd certainly want to include a safari
even a short one and if you like history the coast offers many attractions

Make a couple of lists and then see what you can find in the way of tours and itineraries.

Set some clear expectations so you don't end up feeling like you got 'suckered in'

Go for it...
