There are many popular names in Kenya. There are some areas that love to have more western names and other have more traditional names.
From personal experiences the schools I have worked at there are many children with the same name and many are biblical (i.e. Mary, Ruth,John, Peter, Paul and so on). This is not how it is all over Kenya but just one example. Also beliefs and tribes will also influence names first and surnames.
