Nightmare at Moi Airport

Moi Airport in Mombasa is a nightmare. Every other person on our flight got charged for extra luggage and £60 each was demanded by the passport officials in the gents. We will never ever go to Kenya again - beware!

We left Mombasa on 3 September on a Thomson flight to Manchester.
We'd been told Mombasa Airport was a bit of a nightmare and our tour reps did their damndestt o get us to pay £25 pp to use the VIP lounge. What a con. We found it absolutely fine. We arrived early for our flight - by taxi not tour bus - and were through security in no time. There was never any suggestion of paying extra for baggage or anything else. There was plenty of seating in the departure lounge, nice fans to keep you cool, shops to browse, drinks to buy at reasonable prices. It was ABSOLUTELY FINE!!!
