Is the company running Serena Lodges also a tour operator in Kenya?

by Steven
(USA)

Was checking out Serena Beach Resort, came across their website which offers full safaris in and around Kenya. That was the first I had heard of the company as a possible tour operator.

Is the company that runs the Serena Lodges also a tour operator in Kenya? If so, how do they compare with the others?

Currently I've been in talks with go2africa, but I am considering all options. Thanks. Great website.

tour operators in Kenya

Hi Stephen,

I offer a 'planning' guide that you might want to get. It will help you break down exactly what you
want to experience on a safari or vacation.

yea, you've got to put some work and thought into it but I think it's worth time and effort.

The Kenya Association of Tour Operators has over 250 members so that is way too many to research.

If you're interested you can get my 'planning' guide here.

Thanks to both of you for your candor! I really appreciate it. Planning a trip so far off, from so far away is a bit daunting.
Again,thanks. Steven

Serena Lodges etc
by: Archie [Moderator]

Steven,

Thanks for your question and to be honest am not sure about the depths of Serenas interests in the Kenyan tourism trade.

As you well know companies can have diverse interests and set up other companies within their umbrellas. I think I would delve a little further into their commitments and see what pops up. I think that I will do that. Just a little nagging doubt in my mind.

Thanks to Peter for his understated reply and wish him well with Tropics, Tours and Travel.

Regards

Archie

Hi Steven,

What Serena does is that they offer safaris to thier properties/ Lodges only and unlike go2africa who will give you variuos accomodation options to choose from and also offer flexibility to the itinerary which I think is a good idea.

Happy decision making.

Rgds

Peter.
