How to trace documents sent from Kenya

by Josephine Isaya
(Heerewaarden)

I live in Netherlands. My sister sent me very important documents which I will use to extend my staying visa here in the Netherlands, but now its one month and I havenŽt received them... And also is it possible for a post to arrive without specifying country name? Because she wrote my address and ma town only, but she didnt write the country name which is ŽNetherlands... How can I trace them... please help.
Josephine

documents

Dear Josephine,

I really hope you used a special delivery service like DHL cause important documents should never be sent by the regular post...
Cause in case of lost they cant be traced..

I fear you did sent them with the regular post cause with DHL or any other company as such, it wont take more then a few days. I use DHL for sending important documents cause I cant afford myself to loose documents such as wedding certificates or documents needed to get married..

I have had sent letters with normal post and they never reached me.

Important documents never should be sent with regular post and I also think to have forgotten to write The Netherlands is another issue.

In this case I think your documents are really lost. I hope you still have copies of them. Better is to scan first and email them, then send the originals by DHL ( or any secured company) cause they will always be able to trace them.

Regards
Irene O

Call the company....
by: Arjen (webmaster)

Hi Josephine, youŽll just have to call the company. If the package has a tracking number, they should be able to find it in their system. If they are smart, they can find out that the address and town are located in the Netherlands (they just have to google it). So they should be able to deliver the package also when the country wasnŽt included in the address. But you never know...
