If this is about opening an bank account you must come with someone who has also an account at the bank. This person who is the reference must introduce you.
From my experience you must deposit some money in your account and this depends on which account you take. The 'funny 'thing is even if you dont use the account a certain amount is reducted as a fee each month and one day you find your account empty..
So get well informed first about the conditions and cost.

I guess you're refering to a Simba savings account at the KCB Bank.
The KCB website says, there's no minimum amount of money required to open such an account, so anyone can do this. Go to a KCB office and bring your passport or ID card, 2 passport-size color photos and "adequate reference". I'm not sure what this last point means, to be honest.
