Wilson to JKIA

I agree with Chris and with a good following wind and no incidents, accidents or police checks it will take about 30mins.

Also Chris is quite correct with the delay it may take once you are at the airport to check in. Its not easy and full of potential delays. Just make sure you take a pen with you to fill in exit forms. I have been caught out many times.

If you need to park there are several areas and I always choose the short term car park as you go around the semi-circular road in front of the terminals. It always seems to have many places to park and is a blessing.

From Wilson to JK Airport Nairobi
by: Chris - child of Kenya

Hi;
In Kenya, especially in Nairobi, it is not the distance to travel by car that matters most, it is the time it will take because of the huge volume of traffic. The distance between the two airports is about 16km and 17.5km depending on the route you take.
The JK airport is at Embakasi and Wilson is at Nairobi West.
Best Route I think from Wilson Airport is to get onto Langata Road then turn right at the third roundabout onto the A109 Mombasa Road and then after about 8.5km turn left onto Airport Road North to JK Airport.
On a good day with the wind behind you it should take about 35 minutes.
Remember it can take some time to go through the check in procedures at JK Airport.

Chris.
