by Visitor

Do women of Kenya have a specific title that they refer to themselves?

For example, Kenya Tribal Member? Kenyan Woman?

Thanks for any answers.

Kenyan Women
by: Archie Melrose

Thankyou for your question - In my limited experience it appears that a married woman will be known amongst her village, town or amongst family members as Mamma and then the name of her husband. Such as Mamma Tony, Mamma David and so on.
My fiance who is a single mother has a daughter Juliana and Peris is known amongst friends and family as Mamma J. I guess once we get married she will be called Mamma Archie....mmmmmm...and I may be called Baba J.....I think I had better stop before it gets too confusing. hahaha

Regards

Archie
