Home swap or 2-3 month let?

by Anna
(Gloucestershire, UK)

Hi. My family (two adults, one 7 year old) are travelling round East and Southern Africa in 2011. We want to spend a few months in Kenya (I was born there) and are looking for somewhere homely to stay for 2-3 months whilst we explore the country.

Can anyone put me in touch with relevant websites/people? The ones I have found so far are all focussed much more on holiday lettings and we'd rather stay in a home for that length of time. All ideas gratefully received!

Where to stay...
by: Cassandra Marie

Hello Anna,
How exciting for your trip. I would say you should move from place to place and not just stay at once home-stay or hotel. Kenya is very large and to really see it you would be moving around a lot. If you are interested in staying in one place for most of your time in Kenya...there are home-stay rental sights. Just look at the link connected to this site to help point you in the right direction.

If you have the time you should spend some time in Nakuru and so to the Game Park there. The flamingos are amazing! Hope you and your family have a good and unforgettable trip!
