The nicest place in Kenya where we stayed was the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi (Langata). But it's not in the city, but on the outskirts on a big piece of land surrounded by forest.
It's an old-English colonial-style hotel, pretty big, and the special thing is that it's also a giraffe sanctuary.
It's a special kind of Rothschild Giraffes. They are cared for there and when possible returned to the wild. The giraffes will stick their head through the windows so a giraffe is suddenly staring you in the eyes when you have breakfast!
Unfortunately it's not cheap but for us it was worth the price.
