Drink a lot of water in Kenya

by Nicole Bolman

My tip: it's very hot in Kenya so drink a lot of water when you're there. If you don't, you'll run a risk of getting sun stroke or getting dehydrated. Drinking tap water is not safe so don't do this. So you have to buy bottled water. Luckily, it's available everywhere and it's not expensive, at street stalls, in supermarkets, etc. You can also drink soda or tea or anything, but plain water is by far the best as it is pure and your body can best get rid of any waste this way.

Drinking water is important

Hi Nicole, You're very right. You can buy these large 5 liter jugs for use in your appartment or hotel, and use smaller plastic bottles to carry with you when you're outside. I don't leave home without. If you're really on a tight budget, you can use the big 5 liter jugs to refill small plastic bottles. It's also advisable to cover your head in some way, to avoid getting sun stroke.
