Can I use my British tv in Kenya?

I am staying with friends in Kenya and want to take a small flat screen tv. They have a dvd player already but we can then watch films on tv. The tv fits in my suit case, I am travelling from the UK to Mombasa.

If you only connect it to a DVD player, it should work. Just check if there's no big age difference between the DVD and the TV so you know for sure that the plugs match... These days DVD players and TVs etc. use SCART plugs.

Kenya has the same voltage as Europe (and the UK belongs to Europe, of course).
