Can I carry food and dried milk into Kenya in hold luggage

by Robert
(Belfast)

I would like to know if I am allowed to carry cereals, dried milk, choclate bars, biscuits etc. in my luggage when I fly into Kenya? And is there a limit to the amount of cash I can carry in? Thanks in advance for any help.

Carry food and money
by: Irene

I have been taking biscuits, choclat bars( not so clever they all melted up) dried milk when stored in cans like baby milkpowder, and never had any problem with it at the customs. But keep in mind that all this you can get in Kenya as well. There are big supermarkets selling all kind of stuff as well as local products but also from Europe. However if you want to take some particular biscuits should not be a problem. I know bread, fruits, meatproducts are not allowed. About money, Iam not sure about the allowed amount. But no need to carry lots of cash, to risky, take your bank card and you can collect from the ATM in most town available.
