Appropriate ladies evening wear in Kenya?

We will be staying at the Turtle Beach just outside Mombasa.

I need to know what type of evening wear for ladies is appropriate?

Most of my holiday dresses are strappy, is this OK?

 dresses with straps

Dear Sue,
There is no problem at all to wear dresses or tshirts with straps. It is indeed very hot in Mombasa and therefore nobody will look at you wearing such dresses.

When ever you are at the beach, at the compound of the hotel anything short, anything with straps will not be a problem. However in the restaurant it is recommended not to wear miniskirts or shorts and if you go to Mombasa town.
(To respect the ( Moslim) culture)

its very ok after all mombasa is very hot and they dont concentrate on dress code
